Application Process

The application process involves several stages:

Approval:

Investment applications are evaluated by the Ministry of Finance or Economy and approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Private residence applications are submitted directly to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Visa Issuance: Upon approval, a category D visa is issued for entry into Luxembourg.

Residence Permit:

Applicants must travel to Luxembourg within 90 days, undergo a medical check, and register with their local commune.

Submit the residence permit application for an initial validity of three years (for investment) or one year (for private residence).

Renewal: Permit renewal requires proof of continuous presence for at least six months annually.
