Investment Options and Requirements
The Singapore Global Investor Program (GIP) is designed to attract wealthy and experienced entrepreneurs, business owners, and managers who are interested in investing in Singapore and establishing their home there. Successful applicants are granted permanent residence within 9 to 12 months.

Applicants can choose one of the following investment options to qualify for permanent residency:
Option A:
Invest at least SGD 10 million into a new or existing business in Singapore and hire at least 30 employees (half of whom must be Singaporean citizens, and 10 must be new hires if the business is existing). The investment will allow for the renewal of the re-entry permit (REP) after the initial five years.
Option B:
Invest SGD 25 million in a fund approved by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), focusing on investments in Singapore-based companies.
Option C:
Establish a single-family office in Singapore with assets under management of at least SGD 200 million. At least SGD 50 million of these assets must be deployed in qualifying investment categories, and a minimum of five family office professionals must be hired during the five-year residence period (three must be Singaporean citizens).

For Option A, hiring Singaporean employees and business growth is essential for renewing the re-entry permit (REP).
A re-entry permit is granted for five years upon approval of permanent residence status. Afterward, it can be renewed based on fulfilling set conditions.
Path to Singaporean Citizenship:
After two years of permanent residence, investors can apply for Singaporean citizenship. However, Singapore does not allow dual citizenship, so applicants must be prepared to renounce their original nationality.
Procedures for Singaporean Residence by Investment
Submit an online application that includes a personal profile and investment plan, along with supporting documents.
Attend an interview after submission.
Once approved, applicants have six months to make the required investment.
Permanent residence status must be formalized within a year after final approval.
