Long Term Residence Program

The Long-Term Residence Program (LTR) allows individuals to live and work in Thailand for up to 10 years (with the possibility of a five-year renewal). It is suited for individuals who meet specific investment, income, or professional criteria.

Must have at least USD 1 million in assets and USD 80,000 in yearly income for the last two years.

Must invest at least USD 500,000 in Thai property, foreign direct investment, or Thai government bonds.

Wealthy Pensioner:

Retirees (50+ years old) must have an annual pension or passive income of at least USD 80,000.

If the income is below USD 80,000 but above USD 40,000, an investment of USD 250,000 in Thai property, foreign direct investment, or government bonds is required.

Work from Thailand Professional:

Applicants must work for an established overseas company with a minimum yearly income of USD 80,000 for the past two years.

Alternatively, an income between USD 40,000 and USD 80,000 with a Master’s degree, intellectual property, or Series A funding may qualify.

Highly Skilled Professional:

Professionals with five years of experience in targeted industries.

Must have a personal income of at least USD 80,000 or have a Master’s degree in science and technology, or special expertise.
